Concern

Laura came for an initial consultation because she felt that she was looking tired overall and at 68 she had several concerns that she wanted to address. She decided to invest in herself to restore some lost youth and generally give herself a lift.

Treatments

As we age we lose muscle mass, collagen and other signs of vitality leading to sagging and dull skin. We also lose skeletal support and the various fat pads, deeper and upper, move and shift in size according to age and general body fat. At 68 we need a little more help and Dr Norup suggested a series of thread lift treatments to effectively lift the key areas of the face and neck to restore shape and provide support. Use of threads allow Dr Nourp, a high skilled aesthetics practitioner, to create more powerful results. The sutures themselves have a one-way surface so as they are threaded through the skin and a drawn upwards. The threads not only hold the skin in position, they unlike a traditional facelift move part of the face to a different position along with additional volume in any desired area.

Results

Threads applied to the face and neck in a series of treatments have lifted the jowls, improved the line under the chin and helped to smooth out deep lines at the corners of the mouth, around the eyes and across the forehead. Threads have the added benefit of stimulating collagen production so results actually continue to improve over 6 months and the overall effects last about 18 months. Eyebrows have been lifted, the neckline straightened, naso-labial and marionette lines smoothed. The face looks less rectangular or bottom heavy. Tissue has been moved upwards and projected anteriorly.
